As a new or beginning teacher, we often turn to a lot of different methods and strategies to help us to be successful in the classroom. Right? We may turn to seminars on the latest classroom management strategies or read books on the latest behavior management techniques, all believing that it will give us an advantage; believing that this is what we NEED in order to help us succeed in the classroom. But, as a former K-5 teacher and as a Spirit-filled believer, I can tell you that only “one thing is needful” (Luke 10:42 KJV) to help you succeed in the classroom… and that is the Word of God; learning to use the wisdom that comes from the spirit of God – THAT is what gives you an ADVANTAGE.
The purpose of our website is to provide you with what is “needful” – teaching you how to apply Godly principles and wisdom in order to succeed in the classroom. A while ago, I learned from my pastor that man is a 3-part being: that he is a spirit; he has a soul (which includes your mind, will, and emotions), and he lives in a body. Those are the 3 parts of man – spirit, soul (mind/will/emotions), and body. Yet, most sites for teachers are designed to impact only the body (i.e. classroom management techniques) or the soul (which includes your mind) with things like behavior management techniques.
Blessed Newbie is different from other sites that you see, because the information that you see on this site is designed to equip you for success – through the training of your SPIRIT man. Our training is designed to impact your spirit man; to help equip it. Why? Because that’s the one thing that is needful (Luke 10:42 KJV). Only one thing is needful to you as a new teacher, and that is learning how to apply the principles of the Word of God in the classroom. That is what will give you an advantage over other training. We help to equip your spirit man, so you can produce success in the classroom. And that gives you an advantage over others.
As a Spirit-filled believer, you have an advantage over others in the classroom, and it is time that you learn how to use it. The Word gives you an advantage. As a new, Spirit-filled teacher, learning to apply the principles taught on this website, will help you begin to demonstrate that ADVANTAGE.
