Did you know that there is such a thing as EFFECTIVE prayer?
(I know, right? At first, I didn’t either!) I thought that all prayer was the same. And that ALL prayer was “effective.” (I thought that as long as your heart was right, it was all the same… it went to the same place. So I thought that it all had the same effect.)
But the Bible tells us that there IS such a thing as effective prayer.
James 5:16 says “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” So what IS effective prayer?
I heard the Lord say that effective prayer is having what you say. And Mark 11:23-24 tells us HOW to do this – HOW to have effective prayer. (This is also an example of how to have DOMINION.)
Mark 11:23-24 NKJV says “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” By the way, THIS is an example of having dominion. (The reason that you can speak to a mountain is because you have DOMINION over it!) 👀
So effective prayer is not just saying a bunch of stuff and thinking that it’s effective just because you said it. Nahhhh. What makes a prayer EFFECTIVE is when you HAVE what you said in prayer. THAT’S an effective prayer.
And if you’re called to the classroom THESE days, you have GOT to know how to pray. With measles and flu outbreaks, people carrying guns into schools, and chaos surrounding the Department of Education (on TOP of what you’d normally have to deal with in the actual classroom & with your administration)… oh, you BETTER know how to pray- EFFECTIVELY!
When you end up SEEING what you SAID in prayer in line with Mark 11:23-24, THAT’S an effective prayer!
